Finance and Management Accountant – Salt River, Cape town - R40 000 to R50 000 CTC Per Month
National Leisure Transport Company seeks a Finance and Management Accountant.
The overall responsibility of the position is to provide accurate and timeous
information to executive management to enable correct policy decisions, improve the
operational efficiency and ensure the ongoing and sound profitability of the company.
Requirements:
• Bcom/Bcompt and SAICA Articles
• Oracle or Similar ERP System
• 5 Years’ experience as accountant /management accountant
Duties:
Financial Reporting:
• Preparation and submission of accurate and timeous monthly management accounts
• Reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts
• Assist with preparation of annual budget and forecasts
• Backup for critical day to day processing
• Review of weekly independent subcontractor payroll
• Audit preparation
• Monthly calculations and submission of VAT returns and EMP201’s
• Control and processing of fixed assets
• Cost analysis of variances
• Ensuring intercompany balances reconcile and are in balance”
• Approvals such as payment releases
• Preparation and submission of monthly cash flow projections
Governance and Controls:
• Responsible for assisting the FM with the external audit.
• Ensures legislative and statutory requirements are met.
• Ensures IFRS compliance in daily functions.
• Ensures that internal controls are adhered too, to minimise risk and financial loss.
