Junior Claims Handler
Introduction
An underwriting management company situated in Centurion is seeking to employ an organised and sufficient Junior Claims Handler with 1-2 years of experience to join their dynamic team.
Job Purpose
Junior Claims Handlers, will play a vital role in the administration of domestic and commercial motor and non-motor claims, ensuring timely and efficient processing under the guidance of management.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education (essential):
- National Senior Certificate.
Minimum Education (desirable):
- Relevant FAIS (150 Credits).
- RE5 (will be advantageous).
Minimum applicable experience (years):
- 1-2 years administrative experience in the insurance industry.
Required nature of experience:
- Customer relations.
- Previous experience in the insurance industry (Advantageous)
Skills and Knowledge (essential):
- Computer Literacy – MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Other:
- Bilingual in Afrikaans and English
- Reliable Transport
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, WEIGHTS, AND OBJECTIVES
Customer Relations
- Liaise with brokers and suppliers.
- Communicate with brokers telephonically and by email (relating to claim progress)
- Assist brokers with general and claims related queries.
Administration
- Administrate domestic and commercial, motor, and non-motor claims.
- Manage and settle claims timeously.
- Manage the allocation of claim reserves / outstandings.
- Assist with administrative functions and projects on the request of management.
- Maintain the electronic claims filing system (including the renaming of documents).
- Request and/or check claim payments according to a mandate.
Remuneration Offered
Market related.
