Description:
Managed Talent Solutions a division within Datacentrix is looking for a Field Service Supervisor for one of their client based in Gauteng. This is a permanent position. The Field Service Supervisor will be required to be a strong self-driven individual with sound back round of rotating equipment more especially Steam Turbines.
Responsibilities:
• The candidate will be working on company steam turbines in the Petro Chemical Industry, Sugar Plants Industry, Paper Pulp Industry & Mines in South Africa and abroad.
• Deliver full range service and focused technical area of work, while clear input/ output relations and generic and or work specific guidelines, procedures are given or available.
• Type of team culture - Open feedback culture and supporting team
• Performing all minor / major and preventive maintenances works on Company Industrial Steam Turbines
• Site preparation such as preparation and check of tools, parts and equipment required for the work execution.
• Leading site activities, controlling technicians and coordination other subcontractors.
• Ensure documenting of site activities by preparation of daily reports, field service reports, finding records and measurement protocols.
• Performs day to day activities as part of a team or independently on duties as assigned.
• Effectively identifies technical problems as they occur and takes appropriate actions to resolve including escalation of more complex issues to a higher level, providing expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and subordinate technicians of customers.
• Develop strong relationships and interface with our customers as well as counterparts in regional headquarters.
• Comply with the Company standard EHS guidelines and quality standards.
• Actively support with post outage activities such as lesson learn documentation, manpower survey and feedback on demand.
• Excellent communication skills, good command of written and spoken in English.
