My client, based in Stellenbosch, is hiring a Field Service Technician. Focused on solar energy solutions globally, they support solar project developers with vital services. This role involves writing reports and practical tasks with meteorological instruments and data loggers. Responsibilities encompass remote fieldwork and upkeep of utility-scale solar installations. Travel to sites is bi-weekly for five days, overseeing project management from travel arrangements to on-site operations and client interactions.Education:
- NDip/BTech Electronic/Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering
- Valid drivers license and transport
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Office-based tasks including administration, report writing, and working with meteorological instruments and data loggers
- Remote on-site fieldwork and maintenance on utility-scale solar plants
- Bi-weekly travel to sites, typically for 5 consecutive days
- Previous experience with data loggers, meteorological equipment, solar sensors, or calibrations preferred
