Our client, a technology company supporting international marketplaces, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer. We welcome applicants from around the world within approximately 3 hours of the SAST timezone. We specialize in building and maintaining cutting-edge technology for Classifieds Marketplaces across the globe. With millions of views per month, our platforms lead their respective markets, offering scalable solutions tailored to each country while continuously improving based on insights from other markets. What will you do?- Build and maintain vertical independent infrastructure, development pipelines, and software services, setting group-wide platform engineering standards.
- Research, P.O.C, and implementation of new technologies or services.
- Configuration and management of servers/instances via Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Automation scripting using Bash/Python/Groovy.
- Maintaining Cloud Infrastructure primarily on AWS.
- Ensuring reliability of CI/CD.
- Developing web-based tools and microservices to aid development workflows.
- Planning and implementing backup scenarios, log-rotations, and scaling concepts.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
- Proactively improve products, systems, and processes.
- Deliver software and projects according to agreed timelines.
- Solve complex software bugs with tenacity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
- At least 10 years in active Development roles.
- Strong experience with Terraform and Docker.
- Operational expertise with AWS, Linux, and MySQL.
- Professional, self-motivated attitude with strong written and oral English communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn, open to constructive criticism, and committed to delivering the best solutions.
- Comfortable in an agile and fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in technical and business aspects of the software development process.
- Team player willing to go above and beyond when needed.
