Description:
A formidable Consulting Engineering firm is looking for a highly skilled, experienced Financial Manager to lead their financial department based in Johannesburg North. The successful candidate must have prior experience working in either engineering/manufacturing/mining/construction. You must consider yourself a hands-on team player with good managerial skills, who is a good communicator, with excellent time management skills and has the ability to work under pressure.Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial accounts to audit including account reconciliations and compliance
- Documenting the company’s financial status and forecasts
- Financial planning and reporting
- Compliance with all tax and other statutory reporting (Tax; VAT; Dividends Tax; CIPC; COID; Employees tax; Individual Shareholders tax)
- Analysing trends and industry standards
- Managing the operation and development of the finance department.
- Creating and reviewing policies
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Recruiting and training staff
- Cash flow and cash flow forecasting
- Group requirements such as insurance (PI; Assets and Group life), pensions funds
- Preparation, planning and completing annual B-BBEE Certificate - Construction sector
Education:
- Completed Degree in Accounting
- Relevant other post graduate qualification advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of consistent experience in a managerial position
- Industry experience in Engineering/Mining/Construction/ Manufacturing advantageous
- Experience with SAP Business One, Enterprise, Power BI and Sage 300 required
- Advanced Excel and Word skills
- Solid Financial Data Analysis knowledge
- Critical reporting and thinking skills needed
- Assertive personality
- Ability to cope under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Team Player
- Deadline driven
- Meticulous organisational and time management skills
