Financial Manager

NexusAG, with its head office in Paarl, is a leading provider of agricultural crop solutions to optimise healthy crops and contribute to food security.

NexusAG currently has the above vacancy for an organised individual with a systematic & logical approach to problem-solving, paired with a combination of well-developed administrative and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be required to perform well under pressure, and must have strong interpersonal and managerial skills.

A relevant undergraduate and postgraduate qualification (at least 4 years), completed SAICA articles, and at least 3 years' relevant post-articles experience are minimum requirements for this position. Excellent financial skills, relevant experience at managerial level, good computer skills (SAGE, MS Office) as well as knowledge of applicable laws are further requirements of the role. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the agricultural sector.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive Officer – Internal and responsibilities include, among others:
• Management of the finance department;
• Management of the NexusAG Group's cash flow;
• Setting up budgets and drafting management reports;
• Maintain overview of creditors;
• Debtors management, assessment and determination of credit limits;
• Effective control and implementation of internal audit processes;
• Dealing with statutory obligations, including tax returns;
• Collaboration with external auditors;
• Other administrative financial functions of the company.

Commencement date: 1 July 2024 or as soon as possible.
