Operations Manager
Our client a Blue chip company based in Vereeniging has a vacancy for a person with the following:
PURPOSE: Overseeing operations, managing staff between 50 and 60 employees & Ensuring Profitability of well-established Scrap Metal company in Vaal
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Management – Be able to control workflow of following departments
1. Logistics
2. Maintenance & Projects
3. Administration
4. Production
· Develop & implement strategic plans to achieve company goals & objectives
· Oversee day-day operations, including purchasing, processing, sales, & customer service
· Manage & optimize financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting & cost control
· Lead & motivate a team of employees, including hiring, training and performance management
· Maintain compliance with industry regulations & safety standards
· Foster relationships with suppliers, customers & other stake holders
· Identify opportunities for business growth & expansion
REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous qualifications & experience with strong administrative & management skills
· Experience in the scrap metal industry would be an advantage.
· Honest and straight forward person with excellent track record of integrity
· Strong leadership & communication skills
· Financial Acumen & experience with budgeting & financial analysis
· Knowledge of industry regulations & best practices
· Ability to multi task, prioritize, and problem solve effectively
· Familiarity with GURU accounting software, Excel, Microsoft office & outlook
· Be acquainted with South African Labor practices, HR, Health & Safety basics.
· Be available after hours for emergencies.

Working hours Monday to Friday 06:30 to 18:00 and Saturdays as needed 06:30 to 14:00
Requirements:
- Management: 4 to 5 years
