Description:
We are looking for an inhouse bookkeeper to work hand in hand with our external accountant in managing the day to day accounts and recons of three restaurants. You will be situated on site in Rosebank.
Responsibilities are laid out below;
Salary Range is 180k to 300k per year cost to company.

Daily
- Record & reconcile POS sales and Deposits
- Manage vendor invoices and proper GL coding
Weekly
- Bill pay; help operators manage approval and payment for outstanding invoices
- Produce Hone reports to provide insight
- Record & reconcile payroll
Monthly
- Liase with external accountant for Vat and Provisional tax.
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Produce monthly income statements and balance sheet
General Responsibilities
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
- Client engagement: Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
Typical Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience managing the books for a restaurant group or multiple individual restaurants
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Sage Online
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-directed / Strong sense of ownership
- Working knowledge of GAAP or Pilot
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understands and values hospitality
- Smart and motivated team player
