As a Technical Support Administrator, you will be responsible for all IT Support related tasks within the Dotcom Managed Services Environment. This will include both internal support as well as support to external clients. Giving such assistance means that it''s all about solving problems from the moment a call is logged, until the caller''s issues are resolved.
A technical support administrator manages, maintains, and repairs IT systems. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, diagnosing and repairing faults, resolving network issues, and installing and configuring hardware and software.
You will be a team player possessing strong analytical as well as technical skills and the ability communicate the logic behind technical decisions to non-tech stakeholders. You will be comfortable working in an agile environment and have the ability to "take the wheel" when necessary.
Requirements
Matric Certificate.
NQF5 Certification in Development / A+ / N+ / MCSE
Experience working in a Windows support environment.
Basic Azure Cloud support skills
Good troubleshooting skills
Tasks & Responsibilities
Installation, configuration and repair of Workstation Hardware and Operating Systems.
Installation and configuration of Laptops.
Support with any End user PC related issues.
Support Production environment with any IT related issues.
Assist Back Office IT staff with investigation and remediating issues.
Assist with implementation and support for IT projects
Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
Analyze user and technical requirements.
Configure Networks.TCP/IP inter-networking represents a heavy lift for many IT professionals because the concept is so broad and deep. This complexity ramps up in Azure because you will never see the hardware behind the Azure Networking Stack.
Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
Maintain and resolve issues on VoIP telephone, Biometric, Video systems and other computing equipment.
Hard Skills
The ability to analyze complex technical information.
Server management and deployment for the relevant environment.
Familiarity with a relevant and globally supported support frameworks.
Thorough understanding of users problem statement in order to respond effectively, ensuring that repeat questions are kept to an absolute minimum.
Proficiency with Git and Azure DevOps.
Attention to detail is key.
