Requirements:A minimum of a BSc or B Eng degree in Civil Engineering.Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration (non-negotiable).A Masters degree in Pavement Engineering will be advantageous.A valid drivers licence is essential.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project (non-negotiable).Strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Civil3D, Rubicon, and HDM4.Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role.Experience in developing innovative technical solutions.Experience in guiding and mentoring junior staff.Senior project management experience.Client liaison experience.Responsibilities: Materials Investigations:Manage small tenders for survey and soil laboratories.Plan and execute BP investigations and centreline surveys.Conduct general trial pitting and liaise with soil laboratories.Draft materials report(s).Pavement Engineering Tasks:Conduct visual inspection of gravel and surfaced roads.Assist in pavement and pavement rehabilitation design.Analyse materials results and perform pavement analysis.Assist with traffic data collection and subsequent analysis.Conduct economic analysis.Tender Documents:Assist in the preparation of tender documents.Contract Administration:Administer contracts for various projects.
