Description:

The promoter will be responsible for driving awareness, sales, and customer onboarding onto the thrive app. This role will be based at a fixed store location, requiring the building of relationships with store cashiers and Customer Relationship Officers (CROs). The Promoter's key tasks include engaging prospects using a pre-defined sales script, conducting demos, vetting prospects as qualifying customers, assisting with app downloads and registrations and ensuring completion of digital KYC (Know Your Customer), staying updated on product offerings and competitor landscape, and driving campaigns to both existing traders and prospects.

Engage prospects at the store using a pre-defined sales script:

Professionally and persuasively communicate the competitive pricing breakdown and showcase in-depth knowledge of all thrive platform features.

Utilise grounded language to effectively sell the benefits of thrive to prospects.

Adapt communication style to resonate with prospects, considering the local language and culture.

Conduct demos:

Present yourself as a professional and well-presented, instilling confidence in prospects.

Effectively demonstrate the functionality and benefits of thrive POS (point of sale) to pay suppliers via the thrive app.

Highlight key features in a compelling manner to show how they can enhance the prospects' business.

Vet prospects as qualifying customers:

Verify that prospects meet the qualification criteria by requesting and reviewing recent invoice(s).

Conduct the vetting process with attention to detail, ensuring eligibility to become a thrive POS customer.

Ensure that all invoices submitted will be verified by thrive back office, and only those eligible will count towards promoters' performance incentives.

Assist prospects with app download and registration:

Guide prospects through the process of downloading the Thrive app on their Android devices, offering clear instructions and support.

Facilitate seamless registration and completion of digital Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, ensuring prospects feel confident and supported throughout.

If the prospect does not have sufficient ID documentation present, agreeing suitable follow-ups.

Performance tracked using a unique referral number:

Promoters' unique referral number is to be captured on the app during the registration process.

This is linked to sales performance measurements, and drive motivation to achieve targets.

Stay updated on product offerings and competitor landscape:

Participate in ongoing training sessions to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the product offering, new features, and updates.

Stay informed about the competitor landscape to effectively position Thrive Payments as a superior solution.

Drive campaigns with existing traders and prospects:

Collaborate with the Thrive team to design and execute campaigns targeting existing onboarded traders, promoting increased usage and engagement with thrive_ POS app.

Create and execute promotion campaigns to attract prospects who may not be interested in onboarding with Thrive, leveraging the enabling tools provided by Thrive.

Use downtime effectively to strategize and implement campaigns.

Requirements:

Matric

Relevant tertiary qualification in applicable industry

Relevant Industry Experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in the local language(s).

Professional demeanour and well-presented appearance.

Highly motivated and target-driven, with a strong desire to achieve and exceed sales goals.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with store cashiers and CROs.

Strong sales and persuasive skills, using grounded language to connect with prospects effectively.

Familiarity with Android devices and mobile app usage.

Basic knowledge of payments platforms, digital KYC processes and documentation. (preferable)

Multilingual capabilities, preferably in the local area's languages, to enhance communication with prospects.

Willingness to participate in ongoing training sessions to stay up to date with product offerings and competitor landscape.

Initiative skills to proactively drive growth and customer/prospect promotion.

Ability to drive campaigns and utilize downtime effectively.

Basic reporting knowledge and / or skill

Intermediate administration knowledge and / or skill
