Join a dynamic team at a leading financial services organization as we seek a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to contribute to their regulatory compliance efforts. This role will play a pivotal part in forming and expressing a central group view about regulatory changes across our organization. Key Responsibilities:- Act as a central point of contact with financial services sector regulators, ensuring timely collation and submission of information.
- Support the Senior Manager in identifying, escalating, and managing regulatory risk.
- Maintain an understanding of legislation affecting the Group to provide support and solutions.
- Foster working relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist with engagements with financial services sector regulators and prepare formal communications plans.
- Provide input into established forums to communicate and share information on regulations impacting the group.
- Collate data, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to mitigate market conduct risks.
- Coordinate statutory engagements with regulators, including routing requests, submitting applications, and assisting with onsite visits and investigations.
- Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and advise on their impact on business activities.
- Coordinate the review and input to relevant legislation and regulation.
- Maintain industry networks and represent the group in affiliations to increase industry expertise.
- Assist with the annual review process of the Regulatory Universe across different business units.
- Manage and retain records of changes and current state within Regulatory Affairs and Compliance.
- Assist with ad hoc overall Group Compliance responsibilities as required.
- Manage the administration function within the Regulatory Affairs and Compliance areas.
- Admitted attorney
- Post Graduate Diploma in Compliance
- 7 years of relevant experience in financial services (insurance)
- Twin Peaks model of financial sector regulation
- FAIS license and legal entity reporting
