Opportunity to join a global luxury brand working in a newly created position alongside the Marketing Manager.This role will involve building and implementing brand plans to engage with SA consumers in line with their brand DNA’s and guidelines, driving commercial and brand equity results.As Brand Manager you will be the first point of contact with the in-market brand team, acting as the initial filter to ensure local market content aligns with company’s strategy and execution guidelines. On Trade and off trade experience is required. REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric, relevant qualification advantageous
  • Understand marketing mix, from insight analysis and brand building to the role of media, public relations, digital and trade marketing
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in branding
  • Exceptional Project planning skills
  • Solutions-driven, collaborative attitude and the ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to flourish in a high-pressure, deadline-based environment requiring the need to work after hours often over weekends

DUTIES
  • Work with Distributor team to establish 2025 brand plans and ensure quarterly plans are executed to drive brand performance in the all-important SA market
  • Driving the correct project planning processes and following up with BMs to ensure timings are adhered to, reducing stress in the system
  • Press Release and SM content calendar reviews and pre-approval before final sign off from the Marketing & General Manager
  • Provide local teams with the set of tools and executions to drive commercial and brand equity results
  • Event and activation execution review – ensuring brand cohesion and consistency and Activation excellence
  • Collating, reviewing, and analysing marketing results to drive a mind-set of continuous improvement from a fact-based basis (and supplying Best Practice excellence to the region and Maisons)
  • Being clear on implications of annual BHT and other marketing research results to ensure brand plans reflect critical insights
  • Tracking competitive activity and performance in the marketplace
  • Taking a lead / pro-actively pushing and creating initiatives on some of the smaller brands
  • Handling all company platform queries: guidelines, artwork, issues, etc.
  • Support on day-to-day marketing topics liaising with Distributor brand managers across the portfolio.
  • Formatting and editing of presentations and reports to ensure they meet company standards
  • Development and formatting of market visit agendas and ensuring all logistical requirements are handled before and during the visit

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
