Do you have strong leaderships capabilities a qualification in supply chain management, logistics or business administration?First prize for our International client is experience in apparel or textiles. Must be familiar with sourcing and vendor management with advanced excel skills.This role requires purchasing strategies, tracking functional metrics, crafting negotiation strategies and deals with a good business sense to gather and analyse data to optimise the procurement process. REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric, Relevant undergraduate degree/qualification in supply chain management, logistics or business administration essential
  • Advanced Excel – exp with Formulas V-lookup, Pivot tables
  • 5 years’ working experience as Purchasing Manager or similar field
  • Hands on function working alongside the Logistics Manager interacting on the factory floor for information required
  • Sourcing and vendor management exp essential
  • Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
  • A knack for negotiation and networking
  • Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
  • Expertise in supplier relationship management and negotiation skills will be crucial in ensuring cost-effective and high-quality procurement.
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills

DUTIES
  • Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Managing excel data, working on in-house system and SAGE
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
  • Perform strategic procurement activities across various spend categories, aiming to find better deals and more profitable suppliers
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Work closely with Operations, Logistics and Demand Planning to determine best practise to align with company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Sourcing equipment, goods, and services, as well as managing vendors.
  • Lever your knowledge of supply chain management and your ability to identify opportunities for improvement, to contribute to the overall success of our organization’s purchasing operations


Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
