Description:
Minimum requirements:• D-Eng. / D-Tech / PhD qualification in mechanical engineering, with an undergraduate qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years teaching/professional experience.
• Evidence of research and completed post graduate supervision
Additional Recommendations:
• Strong in the Fluid Mechanics and/or Thermodynamics knowledge area(s)
• Good Publications Record
• Good communication and lecturing skills
• A strong passion for teaching and research
• Professional registration with council
Summary of Duties:
• Teaching, assessing and supervision at all levels.
• Development of learning materials.
• The successful candidate is expected to supervise and/or be actively involved in research in the department.
• Assist with administrative and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department or Representative as delegated.
• Assess experiential training requirements of students.
