Financial Manager

JSE listed giant is on the lookout for a Financial Manager specializing in BBBEE reporting.The ideal candidate will be proficient in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting, project management, GL (General Ledger) reporting, and financial management functions. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with BBBEE regulations, driving sustainable business practices, and providing strategic financial insights to executive leadership. Qualifications:

• Complete BCom Accounting minimum
• Complete articles – highly advantageous

Job description:
BBBEE Reporting (60%):
Lead the development and implementation of BBBEE strategies and initiatives to enhance economic empowerment and transformation within the organization.
Oversee the compilation, analysis, and submission of BBBEE scorecards and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
ESG Reporting:
Coordinate the collection and analysis of data related to environmental, social, and governance factors.
Prepare comprehensive ESG reports and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting the organization's sustainability efforts and performance.
Drive initiatives to improve ESG performance and integrate sustainability considerations into business decision-making processes.
Project Management:
Manage projects related to BBBEE compliance, ESG reporting, and other financial initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Identify and mitigate project risks, escalate issues as needed, and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.
GL Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual GL reports, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Review GL transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Provide insights and recommendations based on GL analysis to support strategic decision-making and financial planning processes.
Presenting to Exco:
Prepare and deliver presentations to the Executive Committee (Exco) on financial performance, BBBEE initiatives, ESG metrics, and project updates.
Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner, facilitating informed decision-making by senior management.
