Description:
We are a well-established injection moulding company situated in Knysna, and we are looking for a tool, jig and die maker to join our toolroom.
Duties include but are not limited to:·
· Making new injection moulding dies
· Making tools and jigs for metal presses
· Repair and maintain press tools &, die
· Routine servicing and regrinding of tools
· Set up & Utilise different tooling, cutters, tips and holders
· Ability to use all toolroom machinery, lathes, spark eroders, milling machines, grinders etc
· CNC machine operation. Qualification & Experience required:· Grade 12· Tool making (Red seal)
· Autocad / Rhino
· At least 5-10 years post trade experience in plastic injection mould making
· Administrative and planning skills
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight dead lines
· Tool maintenance skills
· Specialised tool making and repair skills
· Working knowledge of machining and tool making standards and practices
· Equipment operation including fault finding and repair
· Study drawings, sketches, models or specifications to plan the fabrication of the tool or die
