Description:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our client in Port Elizabeth. Duties:- Accounting work
- Monthly bookkeeping review and support to bookkeepers (see below )
- Review and correcting monthly management accounts
- Review and management of accounting controls, procedures and systems
- Journals setup – monthly/recurring, journal adjustments
- Reconciling accounts and inter-group loans
- Customer support
- Accounting systems support
- Client account support
- Compliance review and ensure compliance is done
- Technical and tax support
- Monthly and annual working papers
- Annual financial statements - Compilation and sign off
- Independent reviews
- Cash-flows and budgets prepared and reviewed and commentary submitted
- Tax planning, prov tax planning, review of group taxes and tax efficiency
- Business structures consulting, review of, planning of and implementation of. Will require very good knowledge of;
- Taxes – business, individual, VAT, estate, payroll, trusts
- Business structuring (entity types, best practices and case use Estate planning
- Commercial contracts and legal compliance
- General Admin
- Management of team members (bookkeepers)
- Timesheets, work planning, review of task status, create and maintain workflows, reporting
- Quotes to clients and client onboarding
- BCom Degree, SAPIA, or similar qualification
- 5 plus years post articles experience in accounting/bookkeeping/managing finance team
- Proficient in the following programs;

- Xero or Sage or Other
- Draftworx/Caseware
- Excel (advanced), outlook, word
