Our client is an innovative manufacturer of retail shop displays and furniture and they are looking to appoint a suitably qualified junior draughtsman to join their team. The primary role of the Draughtsman is to provide working drawings and additional supplementary information to facilitate the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery and metalwork. Description of duties: •Responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and setting up production methods. •Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside project teams. •Create detailed designs with computer-aided design software. •Assist with Production Planning. •Assisting with programming of machines. •Ensure regular housekeeping activities are execute and the execution of Standard Operating Procedures. •Ensure efficient loading and unloading of sheet metal parts into and from Bending Machine. Requirements: •Matric / Grade 12. •National certificate OR Diploma in Drafting. •Minimum of 1-3 years’ similar experience as a draughtsman •Joinery / furniture design experience •Valid driver’s license with own transport. •Experience with Solid works and CAD software . • Must have exposure to the following: o Sheet Metal Manufacturing including laser cutting, bending, and welding o Process Design o Been involved in the test phase. o Been involved in the manufacturing phase. o Staff and production management Please send your application to craig@personastaff.co.za Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
