Mechanical Draughtsman (Inventor)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsman with specialized experience in sheet metal design and fabrication for the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be proficient in using Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, and AutoCAD to create detailed technical drawings and plans for sheet metal products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings of sheet metal parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings and designs meet specifications and are optimized for production.
• Utilize Autodesk Vault for document management, ensuring all drawings and data are stored correctly and are up to date.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Check and validate design drawings for compliance with industry standards, company standards, and product requirements.
• Coordinate with fabricators and engineers to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and assembly processes.
• Assist in estimating materials, costs, and time requirements for projects.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on design modifications to improve quality and manufacturability

• MDOP or Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanical draftsman in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on sheet metal design and fabrication.
• High proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and experience with Autodesk Vault.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, and assembly.
• Knowledge of material properties and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
