Job Title: Payroll Manager


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage the payroll team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively within the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with our values.
  • Support the professional development and career advancement of payroll team members. Empower the payroll team to handle payroll inquiries and issues, providing timely and accurate answers and assistance to clients.
  • Oversee the full payroll cycle.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tax and Management Accountants, to streamline processes and ensure accurate and timely payroll data processing.
  • Develop and maintain payroll procedures and policies to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements and lead the implementation of initiatives to optimize payroll operations.
  • Grow the payroll book with the assistance of a business development team.

Skills and Abilities of the Ideal Candidate:



  • Proficiency in payroll software such as Payspace and Simplepay.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A strong passion for leveraging technology and software to enhance automation and work efficiency.

This is a fulltime permanent position based in office in Somerset West.


Area: Somerset West.


Starting date: As soon as possible.


Salary: R30 000-R35 000 CTC per month.
