Heading the Supply Chain function, including stores, procurement and logistics, you would need solid experience at a similar level and function in the mining sector
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to formulate and implement supply chain strategies for the group

Manage the interface between Supply Chain and the business and interact extensively with BU operational representatives.

The role will ensure business needs and priorities are understood and reflected in Supply Chain plans and priorities, provide Supply Chain representation and leadership at a site & BU level, facilitate resolution of issues and drive continuous improvement to enable the delivery of business ambitions and value for the asset.

Implementation of contracts, resolution/escalation of supplier performance issues

Sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts and fees

Requirements:
· Degree qualified or equivalent with strong overall knowledge of Supply Chain Management in a global context (Sourcing, Purchasing, Category management, Physical Supply Chain, Logistics, Planning and Warehousing.
· Experience in logistics in the mining industry
· Must have at least 8-10 years' Supply Chain management experience, of which at least 3 years must be at a similar level role.
· Must have a valid Driver's license
· Continuous Supply Chain improvement and optimisation
· .Excellent computer skills and vast knowledge of related software programs (MS Office, Pragma & Sage).
· Strong numerical and accounting aptitude with the ability to generate accurate reports timeously.
· Excellent supervisory/people skills, driven, energetic with a high level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
