Job Description:
As a key member of Finance team, you will be responsible for:
Gain an understanding of the businesses, in order to account for the transactions in the correct manner Processing of transactions for all the various cash books Processing of creditor transactions Compilation of bank reconciliations for all the various cash books Prepare and process month-end journal entries to TB level Ensuring all intercompany transactions have been accounted for and reconciled Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations Prepare monthly financial reports for review by FM, keeping to month-end deadlines Completing VAT201 and EMP201 returns and reconciliations Calculating depreciation & keeping FAR up to date Ensuring legislation is followed regarding VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc Assist with Annual and BBBEE Audit Assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts Processing and administration applicable to projects Handling of queries and following up on matters Record keeping and filing Ad-hoc task and procedures as and when requiredEducation:
Completed BCom in Accounting or equivalent (minimum)Skills Required:
Completed SAICA articles (non-negotiable) Financial Acumen Excel Advanced Level Analytical thinking and problem-solving Effective communication skills Deadline driven Effectively works under pressure
