An exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated COUNTER MANAGER for the BALFOUR PARK Branch.
Brief Job Description
- Ensure that customers at our trade counter are served quickly, efficiently and in a professional manner.
- Ensure that there are enough staff at the counter at all times to handle demands. This by effective scheduling and staff rotation especially when staff are absent or on leave.
- Ensure that incoming calls are answered quickly and messages returned promptly by staff.
- Assist employees to strive towards service excellence in their dealings with customers.
- Train new and existing staff on products and systems where required. If you identify weaknesses arrange the required training for them on the necessary.
- Ensure that each aspect of operations at the sales counter is kept at a professional level at all times: tidiness, functional displays, pegboards and staff dress code.
- Conduct housekeeping at the counter and ensure there is enough stationary, that the credit card machines are functional and charged, drawers are free from unnecessary items.
- Operate the cash till as and when required.
- Be fully knowledgeable and carry out the admin / finance functions and daily cash ups
- Ensure that sufficient product brochures are always available.
- Ongoing follow up on inactive customers, and outstanding quotes.
- Your role as Counter Sales continues and you are still required to meet monthly sales target.
- When requested, technical advice must be given in a proficient and knowledgeable manner, whether by you or the technical advisor you refer.
- Be able to stand in and run the branch effectively in the absence of the Branch Manager.

- 2 years or more relevant work experience at Regal
- Managerial experience an advantage
- Reliable transport essential
- Able to work alternate Saturdays from 8:00 to 12:00 and selected Public Holidays
- Good knowledge and understanding of Regal’s products
