In search of an experienced Chartered Accountant with a background in insurance to join the executive team. This is an execution role and therefore insurance and IFRS17 exposure is crucial. There are substantial bonuses and incentives at play. Job & Company Description:- Large listed Group
- You should have experience in the insurance industry
- Be the trusted advisor and provide finance and operational support to Executives
- There are substantial bonuses and LT incentives assigned to this position
- Provide direction and support to operations and leadership teams in pursuit of business goals and objectives
- Assist in developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance profitability
- Expansion initiatives in South Africa
- Deliver analysis, scenario modelling and insightful reporting on key business, finance and operational metrics and performance indicators and make recommendations for decision making
- Business partnering, gather information and context from stakeholders, simplify insights, provide accurate business performance updates, and develop recommendations to overcome market and business volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity
- Analyze monthly performance versus the forecast
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Lead project initiatives
- Assist with manage the organisation's risk exposure and ensure that appropriate controls and procedures are developed, maintained, and monitored for effectiveness
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- CA(SA) with 10+ years post articles experience
- Insurance industry exposure is a non-negotiable
- IFRS 17
- Experience forming part of the executive/director team
- Manage a large team and pull everything together. The job has material accountability and managing stress will be critical
- Ability to articulate complex information
