Housekeeping Supervisor

Description:

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and overall guest satisfaction. They will lead a team of housekeeping staff and uphold the hotel's standards of cleanliness and presentation. Key responsibilities include:Supervision and Training:Supervise housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners.Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of duties.Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.Quality Assurance:Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards.Address any maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly and effectively.Implement corrective actions and follow-up procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness.Inventory and Supplies Management:Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities and submit orders as needed.Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.Minimize waste and control costs related to housekeeping operations.Guest Satisfaction:Respond to guest requests and inquiries related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.Handle guest complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness or room conditions.Implement improvements based on guest feedback to enhance the guest experience.Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and procedures.Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns.Provide training on safety protocols and procedures to housekeeping staff.

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
