Hydraulic design engineer required at well-established original equipment manufacturing company doing design and building of Mobile Industrial Machinery for the Mines. Must be skilled in Solid Works design and the ability to do complex industrial and Mobile hydraulic designs. Mechanical engineering degree and 2 years solid design skills required. This is an exciting broad role where you will be involved in a wide range of Engineering tasks, from conceptual design to machine commissioning.

Key tasks will cover all aspects of the design and production of relatively complex mobile and Industrial machines and equipment.

Reviewing / updating both Hydraulic existing designs and designing new once-off machines against customer specifications and industry standards.

Requirements:

• BEng Mechanical Engineer/ BSc Mechanical Engineering/ BTech Mechanical
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in the hydraulics design industry
• Good understanding of hydraulics design for mobile and Industrial hydraulic designs.
• Proven 3D Skills in Solid Edge
• Good problem-solving skills.
• High ethical standards

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for producing practical new designs to tight timescales.
• Producing hydraulic designs from first principal designs according to technical specifications
• Producing calculations and supporting design documents
• Working closely with electrical, software and mechanical design engineers, to produce a well-integrated machine.
• Creating Bills of Materials for your designs and liaising with purchasing and production personnel
• Being involved with assembly, commissioning and testing of new machines.
