Responsibilities:
The main function of this position is to look after all operations from procurement to shipping, the planning, procuring (primarily Citrus), managing and control of all activities related to the worldwide export and procurement of fruit.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years experience in fresh produce exports with experience in commercial and procurement.
Matric and a tertiary qualification is advantageous.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
Proven working relationship with growers, packhouses and service providers.
Above average computer literacy and knowledge on supply chain systems.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong strategic and leadership skills.
Strong persuasive, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong business acumen and financial skills.
An achievement orientated individual with strong negotiation skills.
Ability to exercise resilience when facing challenges and pressure.
The development of sustainable strategies that support the Company’s core function in the worldwide export of fruit.
