DESCRIPTION/SYNOPSYS:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a large player in Mining and Construction industry. In this role, you would join a team of professional Accountants, and be responsible for managing the full Accounting function. This positon is available immediately.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· BCom Accounting or similar tertiary qualification essential
· 3 - 5 years’ experience in an Accountant role
· Experience in manufacturing/construction/ industrial / mining / Imports / FMCG /OEM industries will be beneficial
· Strong knowledge and experience in working with high volumes of stock, preferably in an import/buy and sell environment.
· Experience with Kerridge ERP system highly advantageous
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effective Financial Administration, including
· Trial Balance recons and collate recon pack
· Capture financial data onto financial reports at month-end
· Month-end closing journals
· Balance Sheet and income statement
· Preparation of monthly management accounts
· Assist with creditors, cashbook and debtors
· VAT returns recons
· PAYE returns
· Assist with Business Units with budgeting and forecasting
