Description:
Minimum requirements for the role:
A BSc or BAgric degree or related qualification is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience having worked as an agronomist is essential ideally within the fertilizer or agrochemical or related markets is preferred.
Previous experience having worked with row crops (soybean, maize, sunflowers and peanuts) is preferred.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Working closely with farmers testing promoting new ideas and technologies with regards to crop protection and fertilizer products.
Giving technical advice and solutions to farmers, running trials surrounding the product range from inoculants, adjuvants, foliar feeds and fertilizers.
Monitoring crop progress and yields as well as crop analysis and progress and estimates.
Developing fertilizer programmes and presenting them to farmers.
Taking soil samples and making the correct recommendations for soil conditioning.
Building and retaining strong customer relationships with farmers and agents.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
