Midrand Primary School is looking for a qualified librarian to work 2 days per week to manage the school library.
Responsibilities
Enter new posters, text books, library books and other relevant resources onto the school system Catalogue new books Manage the school stock register Maintain records of books taken out and books brought back Sort and shelve books according to their categorization Assist learners and teachers with access to classroom resources, books and the internet. Organize the repair of damaged books Inspect the condition of books before and after check-out to ascertain any damage on behalf of the user To assist the LTSM co-ordinator with procurement, processing and management of Learner Teacher Support Material.Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Library Assistant or similar role Basic computer literacy Outstanding organizational skills Attention to detail and good problem-solving ability Exceptional interpersonal skills Relevant training and/or certifications as a Library AssistantSalary:
