RS Recruitment is assisting a well-established, international organisation in the TRAVEL INDUSTRY to recruit a COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE to be based at their offices in DURBAN. Approximately R25 000 to R35 000, negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. OUR CLIENT, ESTABLISHED OVER 50 YEARS AGO, IS A MULTI-NATIONAL COMPANY WITH ITS HEAD QUARTERS IN LONDON PROVIDING UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAYS IN AFRICA AND SOUTH ASIA. PURPOSE OF THE POSITTION: The overall purpose of the position is to analyse contracts, negotiate terms of business with various suppliers and capture contracts with 100% accuracy. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE/BE THE FOLLOWING: Matric.A relevant commercial/financial qualification.Good business acumen.An aptitude for working with figures.A good understanding of bookkeeping/accounting principles.Bookkeeping skills/experience.High level of accuracy.Attention to detail.Can do attitude.Strong work ethic.Initiative.Experience in the travel industry, an advantage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Commercial tasks:Contract analysis.Negotiating contracts.Loading of contracts.Competitor analysis.Assisting the Reservations Team with queries.Maintaining relationships with suppliers. Bookkeeping tasks:Monthly financial reporting.Validation and processing of invoices.Dealing with invoice queries. WORKING HOURS Winter: 10am to 5pm (SA time) Monday to Friday.Summer: 11:am to 6pm (SA time) Monday to Friday.Please note that the successful candidate will need to work during SA public holidays but will be off during UK public holidays.
