Procurement & Buyer Assistant Needed for Kitchen Design and Manufacturing Company in JHB

An Established and Leading Kitchen Design Company based in JHB is looking for a Buyer to join their team. A Candidate from a Design or Manufacturing Industry would be preferred and advantageous!

Ideal candidates would have at least 2-3 years’ experience in either Buyer or Procurement/Procurement Officer roles.

Relevant Diploma’s and certificates would be beneficial

Role:

Assist with Resource and material planning and acquisition

Obtaining information from suppliers on matters like costs, ordering and delivery instructions, stock levels and in some instances, returns

Maintaining working relationships with suppliers

Assisting with Tracking purchases, monitor and manage vendor supply performance

Upkeep and maintenance of current of vendor information (including: pricing, stock level status’)

Daily expediting of orders and daily reporting of order status to key personal

Working with suppliers and internal departments regarding orders and order updates

Working closely with the Accounts department to timeously solve invoice discrepancies with suppliers

Candidate requirements would include:

Strong organizational skills

Self-starter

Fastidious accuracy and attention to detail

Strong communication skills. Written and verbal

Ability to recognize, analyse and offer solutions to problems

Involve necessary key people in decision making processes to ensure the problem is properly resolved in line with operational deadlines

Ability to liaise with other cross functional employees and work with multiple processes and procedures

Time management skills are extremely important as well as the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Salary Market related depending on the Candidate’s current salary, skills, and experience, etc.

Requirements:

  • Procurement: 3 to 4 years
  • Buyer: 3 to 4 years
