QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant formal qualification – Solar PV Installation Certificate or Electrical Trade TestRelevant work experience in construction management in lieu of formal qualificationWireman’s licence would be advantageous PREFERRED SKILLS: Efficient in MS Office SuiteEffective communication skillsAnalytical ability and attention to detailUnderstanding of solar installations and understanding of solar construction methodsPractical understanding of various construction trade disciplines and or fieldsSelf-starter with ability to work professionally and independently EXPERIENCE REQUIRED5 year’s Site Management and Supervisory experience in the construction or facility management environment DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Health and SafetyDaily – ensure tool box talks by team leaders are done or do them selfAd-hoc - Provide HSE topics to for tool box talksDaily – ensure compliance to safety file including heat stress, fall arrest, waste management & housekeepingReport all incidents/accidents and near misses to the SHEQ Officer and Construction Manager before the end of the shiftEnsure you have at least 1 x First Aider and 1 x Fire Fighter on siteEnsure safety induction is conducted for all visitors Performance ManagementDaily Plan of the day – Set out work to be done with team leadersDaily Plan of the day – Ensure team leaders understand tasks and resource requirements for work to be doneDaily site access - Ensure containers, stores laydowns, roof access is opened and secured every day.Daily site inspection - Walk the site & inspect for safety hazards before work can commenceWeekly – attend construction meeting with the PM or EngineerMonthly team leader appraisal forms – Submit last Friday of the month by COBMonthly asset register - Submit last Friday of the month by COBMonthly vehicle register - Submit last Friday of the month by COBDaily manage work efficiency of site teamsDaily manage compliance to technical specificationsDaily submit a 1 day look ahead to the CMWeekly submit a 1 week look aheadAd-hoc – submit requests for information, acceleration or hinderance reports Quality Assurance and ControlManage defective material – ensure it is quarantined and report within 24hoursManage quality – complete milestone checklists and present to commissioning manager Project ReportingWeekly by COB on a Friday –Send 1 annotated photo to the CM per roof per site showing progressSend a completed a progress report per site to the CMSend a completed stock take report per site to the CMSend a quality report per site to the CMWeekly by 10am on a Monday – send the time sheets to the Project Administrator Site ManagementDesign review – participate in the 80% review when requiredProject kick off – attend site meetings as requiredLogistic plan – create a logistic plan per siteLogistic plan – source quotations for equipment or services requiredBalance of system material – measure drawings and issue requests for quotation to suppliersPrepare and deliver all field tes
