Description:
Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- N3 certificate: NQF Level 4.
- N6 Diploma Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Be acquainted with field service work and long hours away from home.
- Must be willing to travel outside the boarders of RSA.
- Valid Code B driver’s license.
Main Duties
- Perform maintenance and commissioning activities.
- Testing of battery charger.
- Testing of UPS.
- Testing of PCB card to component level.
- Fault finding and repair work on site.
- Technical investigations and site audit.
- Technical support to customers (Telephonically and physically).
- Site charger repairs.
- Test & commissioning of battery chargers on site.
- Handling customer factory acceptance testing.
- Installation of battery cabinets.
- Training of junior technician.
- Site documentation and reports
- Electronic battery meter readings.
- Panel testing.
- Site supervision for third party contractors.
- Technical report writing.
- Technical investigations.
- Quality control on installation and repair work.
- Direct daily customer service activity operations.
- Build and maintain relationship between the company and customers.
- Battery installation, test and commissioning.
