DESCRIPTION/SYNOPSYS:
Our Client one of Africa’s largest and most respected Commodity traders, with a worldwide footprint spanning Africa, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant degree/Tertiary qualification in Finance / Economics / Maths and Stats etc.
- 6+ years in Commodity Finance/Business Controlling in a Trading House
- Experience to Steel / metals commodity trading or similar is essential (gold, silver, lead, copper, zinc, platinum group, copper, iron, thallium, zinc, nickel, aluminium, lead)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Head of Finance (Metals Segment) in Europe, the Finance and Business Controller will play an active and key role within the finance function for the Base & Refined Metals Business Unit. Scope of responsibilities include:
- Accurate Daily P&L
- Manage a team of traders
- Trading Position Reconciliation
- Margin Variance Explanations
- Decrease Operational Risk
- Monitor Market Risk
- Reporting on performance metrics
- FX Exposure Calculations
- Interest & Working Capital Calculations
- Inventory Controlling
- Identify and drive improvements.
- Key Project member in system implementation
From a Finance perspective, you will also oversee the Accounting function; including CAPEX Submissions & Tracking, Cost Management, Treasury Operations & Cash Planning. Woking Capital Reporting
