Agricultural Machine Operator & Mechanical Manager
Mixed farming enterprise in the Eastern Free State (near Ladybrand) requires a competent and reliable addition to this family-run team. The focus of the role falls strongly in cropping – in operating and maintaining agricultural machinery. However, the other aspects of the role will be aligned to the applicant’s skill set and the farm’s seasonal priorities.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous agricultural machinery operator experience – particularly combining & spraying. Minimum 3 years Mechanic trade certificate or diploma advantageous “Mechanically-minded” Proven experience working and repairing farm related implements Experience in or managing a factory / warehouse / processing facility advantageous Flexibility in a mixed farming enterprise – taking on responsibilities based on the season and farming requirements; as well as the applicant’s skill set Valid driver’s license Ability to communicate in English and Sotho; and work as part of a teamPACKAGE
