Description:
A well established company based in Alrode is seeking a LP Plant Operator.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain LPG processing equipment including compressors, pumps, valves, and pipelines.
- Monitor process parameters and perform regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment and adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and line ups for transferring of LPG to various tanks.
- Offloading and loading of road tankers.
- Blending LPG to prescribed vapour pressures.
- Conduct safety inspections and participate in safety meetings to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to regulatory requirements for the safe handling and storage of LPG.
- Keep accurate records of plant operations, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections.
- Respond to emergencies and minimize risks to personnel and the environment.
- The Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Plant Operator will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our LPG plant.

- National Certificate in Chemical Operations or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred.
- Proven experience working as a plant operator in the oil and gas industry, with specific experience in LPG processing preferred.
- Strong mechanical attitude and knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing the handling and storage of hazardous materials, including LPG.
- Willingness to work overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and decisively in emergency situations.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
