Description:

1. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the designated territory (extensive cold calling)

2. Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients.

3. Achieve sales targets and objectives set by the company.

4. Possess a deep understanding of the technical aspects of products or services.

5. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.

6. Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.

7. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions.

8. Provide technical support and guidance to clients, both pre-sales and post-sales.

9. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely manner.

10. Work closely with the sales team, technical support staff, and other internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

11. Provide feedback to management regarding market trends, customer needs, and product improvements.

12. Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and other administrative documents accurately and on time.

13. Maintain records of sales activities, customer interactions, and competitor information.

Requirements:

  • Plastics Industry: 3 to 4 years
  • Technical Sales Consulting: 3 to 4 years

1. Grade 12

2. Have a Sales/Marketing tertiary qualification (diploma/degree)

3. Chemistry qualification be an added advantage.

4. Have 5 + technical sales experience within the plastics/ Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) additives environment.

5. Have a valid driver license and own vehicle.

6. Be computer literate.

7. Be goal orientated and results driven.

8. Able to work independently in a macro management environment.

9. Have good communication skills – verbal and written.
