Role Description: Intermediate Software Developer required for a 12-month contract position (possible extension) for a client based in Johannesburg.
Key Attributes:
- Expertise in FileNet Technologies: Proficient in FileNet P8, IBM CMIS, Image Services (ITH), ICN, CMOD, and other related technologies. Experience with FileNet P8 Taxonomy and IBM Content Navigator (ICN) is highly desirable.
- Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Java and Java Enterprise Edition (JEE). Familiarity with other programming languages and technologies such as XML, SOAP, and Web Services is a plus.
- Database Knowledge: Experience working with relational databases, particularly DB2. Ability to design and optimize database schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
- Operating Systems: Knowledge of various operating systems including AIX, Linux, and Unix. Experience in deploying and managing applications on these platforms is beneficial.
- Web Application Servers: Proficiency in setting up and configuring WebSphere Application Server (WAS) for deploying Java-based applications.
