We currently have a vacancy for the position of Receptionist, based in Johannesburg.Overall purpose of the job: Welcomes visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or
referring inquiries, directs calls & visitors by to the relevant department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Will Include, But Will Not Be Limited To:
- Answer telephone, screen, and direct calls
- Take and relay messages.
- Provide information to callers.
- Greet persons entering organization.
- Direct persons to correct destination.
- Deal with queries from the public and customers
- Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organisation
- Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support.
- Prepare correspondence and documents.
- Receive and sort mail and deliveries.
- Monitor and maintain office equipment.
- Control inventory relevant to reception area
- Ensure the tidiness of the reception area.
Qualifications, Skills, And Experience:
- Grade 12 /Matric – essential
- Qualification in office administration or similar – highly preferred
- Previous experience of at least two years in a similar position
- Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent command of the English language
- Data capture accuracy & attention to detail.
- Ability to manage customer’s expectations.
- Customer focused - ability to excel in the provision of service.
- Energetic/shows initiative and have ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to consistently deliver quality service even when under pressure.
- Time management skills and keen sense of attention to detail
- PC literate (Excel, Word, e-mail. SAP literate a distinct advantage)
- Team player
