Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor

Description:

• Grade 12
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
• 3 - 5 years’ experience working as an artisan.
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Own transport
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and related universal best practices.
• Knowledge of legislative and industry protocols and regulations that apply in maintenance.

• Regular inspections on equipment to identify hazards, defects or need for repair.
• Complete equipment checks sheets as per manufactures requirements.
• Capacity to take initiative off all projects.
• Complete projects in the expected time frame.
• Making schedules, assigning work and training employees.
• Motivate employees to increase their productivity and meet work goals.
• To ensure the proper maintenance of equipment, compliance with mechanical codes and adherence to safety regulations.
• Supervise junior team members.
• Responsible for mechanical systems installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and services a required.
• Designing mechanical systems and equipment, as well as contributing to improved designs and manufacturing processes.
• Report to maintenance manager any incidents.
• Ensure good housekeeping.
• Attend to breakdowns.
• Ensure adequate inventory, prioritize purchases, prepare cost estimates, and document their purchases.
• Doing standby duties.
• Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools in factory environment
• Understanding of the OSH Act
