Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - Mining IndustryLocation: Northern Cape, South Africa
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing diesel-powered equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance checks on diesel-powered vehicles, equipment, and machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all diesel equipment
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Work closely with other team members to ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Assist in training junior mechanics and apprentices
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- N2 Certificate in Engineering (Diesel Mechanic)
- Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the mining industry
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in working on Komatsu PC4000, PC5500, WA1200
- Experience in working on Liebherr 9200, R996B
- Experience in working on Caterpillar 994F, 740B, 745C
Benefits:
- Salary: R750K-R950K per year
