The successful candidate will join a dynamic team in an intermediate level position within a well-established consulting firmThe requirements associated with the position are as follows:BEng or BSc (Eng) required5-10 years of relevant experienceBEng in Civil Engineering or similarProfessional registration (PrEng) will be advantageousExperience in the design of tailings storage facilities, return water dams and associated infrastructureExperience in carrying out annual audit inspections on tailings storage facilities and return water damsExperience in surveillance of tailings and/or return water damsExperience in tender and contract documentationExperience in CPTu testing and interpretation preferredExperience in geotechnical investigations considered advantageousGood fundamental understanding and knowledge of geotechnicsExposure to associated civil engineering activities such as hydrology, structural design, dam breach assessments, water balancesCandidate should be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPointProficiency in MS Project considered advantageousCandidate should be proficient in slope stability, seepage analysis and FEM software, such as Geostudio.Candidate should be proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D or modelmakerProject management experience advantageous
