Thukela Metering is looking for a Junior technical hardware professional willing to grow as a hardware and software engineer.
We're looking for a young enthusiastic hardware engineer who wants the best of both worlds and someone who already has a solid foundation in hardware and networking and still has an interest in software. Your main role will be technical support as you grow as a developer on the side.
Main responsibilities:
· Setup and maintaining network(s)
· Technical Server management.
· Hardware support for machines such as computers, laptops and tablets.
· Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
Secondary responsibilities:
· Assist the development team.
· Writing reports.
· Conducting development tests.
Requirements:
· Must have a solid understanding of networking and security for networks.
· Must be able to Install maintain and update servers (must have a solid understanding)-Highly required.
· Must have a clear grip on hardware how to clean, upgrade, update and maintain Pc's -Highly required.
· Networking and hardware knowledge - (solid understanding REQUIRED) -Highly required.
· HTML.
· JavaScript.
CSS (basic web stack) -required (should just know or understand the basics)
· SQL- fundamental understanding of databases and database concepts.
· Must be able to work as a team.
· Must be able to follow instructions and work alone on certain tasks.
· Must have basic understanding of Adgile methodology.
· Basic programming experience.
· Ability to learn new software.
· Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
· Detail-oriented.
