SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Description:

An Access Control Systems company based in Houghton Estates/Johannesburg is currently seeking a Service Technician to deliver top quality field services to the company’s customers and ensure: Preventive maintenance – Corrective maintenance - installation The mission includes permanent travels in the assigned territory and frequent travels nationwide also on duty 24/7 working time
Includes weekend standby
Includes warehouse parts repairs and refurbishment
Handle assigned incidents at customer site (analyse, repairs…) according to company Services Commitments.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on solutions at customer site (HW and SW)
Ensure good customer relationship at customer site during his/her missions
Handle systems (HW/SW) installation tasks
Provide 1st level support to customers by answering demands and/or anticipating needs Assist Support Engineers in complex problem solving
Ensure 1st and 2nd level support remotely (phone) as part of the on-duty helpdesk tasks Keep his/her skills up to date: participate to trainings, read documentation, look proactively for technical information
Comply with the rules processes
Support Engineers
Customer employees (car parks managers or cashiers)
Qualifications and Experience:
MATRIC with Minimum 2/3 years experience in Technical/Electrical/Electronics/IT/Networks…(not all)Years of experience: Minimum 3 years in similar position
Proven experience in delivering maintenance services of complex systems (HW/SW)
Technical diagnostics, analysis, root causes…
Strong experience and proven skills in SW and HW maintenance and installation
Knowledge of MS Windows Server environment, networking, SQL DBs
Remote maintenance
Customer relationship
Social and Personal Competences:
Candidates need to be able to liaise with Centre managers and present themselves professionally/technically at meetings.
Team spirit, share experience
Available for on-duty services 24/7
Available for frequent travels nationwide (installations)
Driving license and 5 years driving –mandatory
