Description:
Senior Financial Accountants' responsibilities include maintaining records of all transactions, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and processing reimbursements. Ultimately, you will help us manage and allocate our resources effectively
· Perform daily banking sheets where movements in bank accounts are analyzed for cashflow forecasting purposes.
· Review and approve purchase invoices and general ledger journals.
· Review and approve EFT’s.
· Review final general ledger recons, cashbooks, receivables and payables, and follow up on unresolved queries.
· Processing of provisions, and inter-company elimination transactions.
· Review management accounts and address differences between budgets and actuals for the month .
· Review group consolidation and review all management accounts of all entities in the group.
· Prepare financial reports at the group level.
· Prepare and present financial reports for subsidiary board meetings.
· Prepare budgets.
· Review VAT calculations before submissions.
· Perform tax computations (both current and deferred tax).
· Perform IFRS 16 calculations for external and internal leases.
· Draft IFRS-compliant subsidiary financial statements, using Caseware.
· Assist in drafting the Group's Annual Report
· Perform value-in-use calculations for cash-generating units.
· Perform cash flow proof and draft cashflow statements for subsidiaries.
· Participate in payroll processes by loading and releasing salaries.
· Report on financial projections (e.g. liquidity and cash flow)
· On a monthly basis manage the reporting timelines for all in the finance
· Manage direct team members (finance, cashbook, and accounts payable).
· Complete any duties, as required from time to time, that fall outside the employee’s general scope of daily duties.
Requirements:
· Education
Grade 12 (Matric)
BCom Hons degree in Accounting
CA (SA)
· Specialized knowledge
Hands-on experience with accounting software,
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts and using financial Excel functions)
Experience in MS 365 Business Central will be advantageous.
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, Companies Act and SA Tax Law
