Description:
Our client requires the services of a pro-active and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join their team.
Key performance areas:
- Assist with payroll queries from employees and managers
- Maintain payroll records in terms of statutory requirements
- Assisting the Payroll Administrator as and where required
- Accurately capture and review data
- Accurately process timesheets ensuring deadlines are met
- Loading new employees onto the payroll system timeously
- Send net listing reports to relevant departments for approval and payment
- Print and accurately sort pay slips for distribution
- Ensuring information such as banking details and medical insurance details are accurate and updated on payroll software
- Following up with third parties/contractors on invoices, payments, queries, POP’s, contracts, etc
- Reconciling POPs to net pay listings
Requirements:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to multi-task and manage a demanding workload in a pressurised environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively with people on all levels
- Disciplined in following procedures when executing tasks
- Good time management skills
- Must have a strong work ethic and integrity
- Must have a valid driver’s license
The successful candidate must have:
- Matric with a relevant qualification in Payroll/ Administration
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of Payspace would be advantageous
- Computer literate – (Word, Excel, Outlook & Google Sheets)
- Must have good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
