An Accountant

Description:

You will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of accounting clerical staff and ensuring the accurate and timely execution of various accounting tasks. The successful candidate will be proficient in handling financial data, possess strong analytical skills and be capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinate and guide accounting clerical staff, ensuring effective teamwork and adherence to established accounting practices and principlesMaintain and update the fixed asset register for 4 to 5 companies, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of company assetsManage the tax asset registers, depreciation, and journal postings to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulationsPerform monthly reconciliations of minor assets, cashbook postings, and reconciliations of prepayments for accurate financial reportingConduct diesel reconciliations, stock reconciliations, and management of non-stock items, plant hire, and subcontractors' financial data Education:Completed BCom in Accounting/Finance Job Experience & Skills Required:Minimum of 3 years in a similar roleExperience with managing multiple accounting tasks/coordinating an accounting teamFinancial acumenStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with Palladium/QuickBooks advantageousKeen attention to detailStrong organizational skillsEffective communication skillsTeam playerAbility to work under pressure APPLY NOW!
